Hi there, I’m Ashlin.
I knew I wanted to teach swimming since having lessons as a child. I first started teaching in 2012 when I was 16 and have taught on and off since then in both NZ and Northern Ireland.
I love travelling and the buzz of exploring new places. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, I’m a bit of a foodie and love anything to do with being in the water.
I look forward to seeing you in the pool!

Sharyn - Fulton Swim School Teacher

Hi everyone, I am a mother of 2. I have being a swim instructor since 2014. I enjoy the great outdoors and we are lucky to be able to work outside too. I have being involved with water sports all my life and love it.

I have worked for the past 32yrs as a bridal consultant having met the most amazing people and I am now see those customers coming to swimming lessons with their children. Great to have those connections with the families.

The children are my reason I am a swim instructor. Swim for life ♥️ Sharyn.

Hi I’m Emily and I have many years of swim teaching experience. I was also a competent swimmer for 14 years. I have won numerous national titles and represented New Zealand on three occasions. I have just moved back to New Plymouth after spending six years in the USA - three of these as a division 1 swimmer and three as a collegiate swimming coach. Don't be shy to say hello on poolside!

Hi I’m Nikita, I started working with Fulton swim school New Plymouth in July of 2021, I am a very bubbly and friendly person who has always enjoyed being in the water. My favourite stroke is freestyle because you can go flying through the water.

Emma - Fulton Swim School Teacher

Hi there, I'm Emma. I have been swimming since I was a child and I thought why not help teach the next generation some important water safety skills like I was. I am heavily involved in surf life saving as I am a lifeguard at the beach in summer.
When I am not in the water I am hanging out with my cat and two dogs!
My favourite stroke is breaststroke as I find it very relaxing.

Yannika - Fulton Swim School Teacher

Hi, my name is Yannika. I have only just recently started swim teaching at Fulton Swim School, however I have taught beach education and surf life saving for a couple years. I starting swimming when I was super young and used to do competitive swimming up until middle of high school. Now I swim 3 times a week to train for surf life saving. My favourite stroke is freestyle, but it used to be breaststroke when I was racing. I love to spend time with my family and spend time down at the beach.

Hey everyone, I’m Jessica and I have recently joined the Fulton Team. Ever since I was little I’ve loved being around the water and the ocean, and I know how important water safety is. I’m so excited to have the honour of teaching our next generation water safety and skills.

Growing up I was involved in surf life saving but now I have placed my focus on both beach and indoor volleyball, and in my free time I help coach my junior volleyball players. My favourite stroke would have to be breaststroke as I find it quite relaxing. I really look forward to seeing and meeting everyone.

Kia Ora, my names Kiara.
I started teaching at Fulton Swim School in 2021 and am so far loving it. In my spare time I like hanging out with friends and doing anything that involves me being outdoors and under the sun. Being a part of sports like Surf Life Saving and Waka Ama have taught me how important swimming is as a life skill, so being able to teach it to your tamariki is an amazing opportunity!

Hi, I am Jenna. I have been a swim teacher since 2013 and absolutely love it. I have grown up with swimming in my family and I would never get out the pool when I was little. I have always loved and respected the water. I have one daughter who loves swimming just as much as my husband and I. My passion for teaching comes from being around children at my mums school. I have always wanted to make swimming fun through teaching and I try to make a difference to each swimmer in my class. Lets make swimming fun!

I used to swim myself up until high school and have always loved swimming, especially at the beach! I like to spend time with friends and family, play sport and love being outdoors. Hello, my name is Jane and I am a horse riding, art loving university student. When I'm not at the library working on research, or in the theatre performing, you can find me at the beach, either on a horse or in the water! I love to swim and am so happy that I get to help other people learn how to swim!

Hi I’m Sarah. I first qualified as a swim teacher in England in 2007 where I taught for 8 years.
Since then I have worked as a nurse, ran my own business making and selling handmade natural soap and had my three children.
I have recently moved to New Zealand and am excited to be teaching swimming again. It makes my day to help children and adults alike enjoy being in the water and achieve their goals.
I cannot wait to see you poolside!

Kia ora, I'm Amani! I started swimming lessons at around 2 years old and still swim 2 days a week. I have always loved the ocean and rivers and swimming lessons really helped to make me more confident around water. I'm looking forward to giving students the same experience and seeing them progress into strong confident swimmers! My personal favorite swimming stroke is breaststroke. As well as swimming I love to dance, sing and play piano! I can't wait to meet you and your children at the pool!

Hey! I’m Caitlin, one of the swim instructors at Fulton swim school. I loved swimming lessons as a kid, they were something I really looked forward to. Learning the life saving skill of swimming in a fun way. It’s a rewarding job being able to give other kids this same opportunity and experience. Out of work I love hiking, hanging out with friends and babysitting with my 3yr old sister…and of course swimming. Especially at the beach :)

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as compete in competitive cheer leading where I also help train the junior team.

Hey everyone!
My name is Evette and I have been involved in surf-lifesaving since I can remember. I have loved being in the water from a very young age. At 14 I got my surf lifeguard bronze award, and since then I have gone on to achieve a surf coaches award, inflatable rescue boat awards etc. I am super excited to work with young children and teach them the life skill of swimming as it has had a massive influence on my life and I want to be able to pass on the enjoyment and fun that swimming is.

In my spare time I also play canoe polo and enjoy hanging with my friends, swimming at the beach and skateboarding.
