I began Swim Teaching with Fulton Swim School in 2014 across all our sites nationally and have taught hundreds if not thousands of brilliant children from babies through to squad levels even right up to my oldest learn to swim client who was 71!
I have grown up doing just about every water sport you can think of. However my favorite was surf life saving where I spent seasons Life Guarding, teaching IRB drivers and teaching Rookie Lifeguards. So working for a Swim School came very naturally to me with a Water Safety and Surf background.
I have a true passion for teaching and helping families become safe and enjoy the water and teaching swimming as a life skill that I think every child should have.
I also was elected to the board of the New Zealand Swim Coaches and Teachers in 2019 to gain further insight into our industry and help to create positive change for teachers because better teachers means better lessons for your kids!
I've taught and managed Fulton Swim Schools all around the north island but now happily call Fulton Swim School New Plymouth my home.
Hi, my name is Caitlin and I chose to teach swimming because I used to swim competitively from age 10 and loved it.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as compete in competitive cheer leading where I also help train the junior team.
Feel free to come say hello if your child moves into one of my classes!
Hi there, I’m Emma.
My love for the water and all things outdoors has driven me to always have a passion for this and passing it on to our future generations. I love to go out and create new adventures with friends and family as well as playing sport and enjoying our beautiful backyard right here in Taranaki. I hope to be seeing you all at the pool in the future, don't be afraid to come say hello when I'm around!
Hi I’m Emily and I have many years of swim teaching experience. I was also a competent swimmer for 14 years. I have won numerous national titles and represented New Zealand on three occasions. I have just moved back to New Plymouth after spending six years in the USA - three of these as a division 1 swimmer and three as a collegiate swimming coach. Don't be shy to say hello on poolside!

I have 3 younger siblings and a huge extended family and I am very used to being around alot of kids so teaching came naturally to me and being able to combine this with my love of the water was perfect !
Hi my name’s Tenaya, being in the water has always been a big part of my life. Being raised in Hawaii allowed me to be in the ocean swimming and surfing everyday and helped me to realize how amazing it would be to be able to transfer that joy I felt in the water to other children in teaching them to swim.
Hi there, I’m Ashlin.
I knew I wanted to teach swimming since having lessons as a child. I first started teaching in 2012 when I was 16 and have taught on and off since then in both NZ and Northern Ireland.
I love travelling and the buzz of exploring new places. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, I’m a bit of a foodie and love anything to do with being in the water.
I look forward to seeing you in the pool!
My name is Evette and I have been involved in surf-lifesaving since I can remember. I have loved being in the water from a very young age. At 14 I got my surf lifeguard bronze award, and since then I have gone on to achieve a surf coaches award, inflatable rescue boat awards etc. I am super excited to work with young children and teach them the life skill of swimming as it has had a massive influence on my life and I want to be able to pass on the enjoyment and fun that swimming is.
In my spare time I also play canoe polo and enjoy hanging with my friends, swimming at the beach and skateboarding.
Look forward to seeing you all at the pool!!
