Our People At Puni

Tamsyn Bush

NZSCTA Rookie Swim Teacher of the Year 2016

Hi there ! Most of you would all know me by now ! I started working with Fulton's in January 2015, however I have been apart of the Fulton Swim School family since I was at the age of 11 as I used to swim here for multiple years!

I grew up in Tairua, in the Coromandel Peninsula until the age of 7, which meant I grew up around water and loved the water from a very early age. It has always been second nature to me! I was part of Tairua Surf life saving for 5 years, and spent the last 2 years of this period as a Rookie life guard. I have a very strong passion for the water and swimming and absolutely love passing it onto all of those who I teach. I love gaining relationships with each child who I teach, and feel a sense of pride when I see them progressing throughout the years.

I still love to get into a pool to swim whenever I can - otherwise in summer you will catch me at the beach whenever I can be!

I am now happy to be Team Leader at Puni pool - and have gained a lot of knowledge over the years to get me to this point. Make sure you come and say hi whenever you see me!

Abbey Austin

NZSCTA Rookie Swim Teacher of the Year Finalist 2019

Hi 😊

I have been working for Fulton since 2016 and I love my job just as much now, as I did when I first started. I find teaching super rewarding when my students are excited about learning and finally achieve a skill or goal that they have been working really hard on.

Growing up, I was always in and around the water and I think swimming is a fundamental skill for anyone living in NZ.

Feel free to come say hi to me or ask me any questions you may have about your child's learning 😊

Kaitlyn Walton

Hello everyone, a lot of you would've seen me between Patumahoe and Puni pool by now.

I'm Kaitlyn, and I joined Fulton in January 2019. A little bit about me, I've been a "Nanny" for four years, I worked at Montessori house of children in Drury for two years. I then went on to have shoulder surgery then joined Fulton and loved it ever since. I've lived and grown up in Franklin. I've got an older brother, little brother, little sister, a Golden Retriever called Molly and a cat called Dave! Working with children is something I thoroughly enjoy, let alone watching the progress along the way and getting to know the families!

I look forward to seeing you all!

Kelly Wallace

Hi everyone, I’m Kelly.

A little insight on who I am is that I love sports and socialising, so most of my time consists of being active with teams or friends, especially hockey. Swimming has been a big part of my life allowing me to join and compete for social organisations such as surf lifesaving, which has encouraged my passion to teach people of all ages the valuable skill of swimming.

Another thing I hold close to my heart is food. I’m a very happy girl on a full tummy so there’s no harm in bringing me a snack from time to time :P

Ria Langit

Hi! I’ve been teaching swimming for more than ten years now from babies to adults. I used to be a competitive swimmer back in the Philippines for 8 years. I love teaching children to be safe and watching them having fun in the water is very fulfilling. I have one son, Ethan and my brother also used to teach at Fulton Swim School. I love the outdoors and spending time with my son. I am a qualified AUSTSWIM Teacher for Swimming and Water Safety, for Infant and Preschool Aquatics, and also an AUSTSWIM Assessor for Swimming and Water Safety. I am the Head Coach for FAST (Fulton Amateur Swim Team) which is our competitive swim team.
