TERMS & CONDITIONS OF TRADE


SERVICES

Fulton Swim School provides comprehensive water safety and learn to swim programmes. Each programme is arranged separately and is charged for in accordance with our prices which may vary during the year. Prior notification of any price changes will be given in our regular newsletters before they take effect. Please contact us for further information on prices and for swim programme timetables.


BOOKING CONFIRMATION

At present we accept bookings online, www.fultonswimschool.co.nz or at our swim school reception. You will receive confirmation from us of your booking.

Please Note: Due to demand we are not able to take pencil bookings. Once a booking has been made, it is taken as a confirmed booking and a withdrawal from the programme before it starts will incur a $25.00 Administration Fee.


FEES AND NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL

Fees for swim programmes during a school term are to be paid by Direct Debit payment from your nominated account on the 22nd of each month.

Fees for the holiday swim programmes must be paid in full upon making your booking by cash, cheque, eftpos, internet banking or visa.

Fulton Swim School’s swim programmes operate throughout the year with the exception of public holidays, see below. Whilst your child is enrolled with Fulton Swim School the direct debit payments will automatically continue from term to term.

Please note it is your responsibility to provide Fulton Swim School with a notice of withdrawal in writing 3 weeks prior to the 22nd of the month if your child is to take a break or not continue with their swimming lessons. Once payment has been made and you then decide to withdraw your child from swimming lessons there will not be a refund or credit for the payment made. A withdrawal fee of up to 3 lessons will apply depending on the number of lessons left to complete in the programme.

If a payment is overdue for a period of 2 weeks then your child’s swimming lessons will stop until the required payment has been made.

The Direct Debit and Notice of Withdrawal forms are available from the Fulton Swim School Reception desk and on the Fulton Swim School website.


STATUTORY HOLIDAYS

Fulton Swim School does not operate on the following Public Holidays:

  • Auckland Anniversary Day - Last Monday of January
  • Waitangi Day - 6th February (only if it falls on a week day)
  • Good Friday
  • Easter Monday
  • Anzac Day - 25th April
  • Queens Birthday - First Monday in June
  • Labour Day - 4th Monday in October
  • Christmas Day/Boxing Day - December 25th & 26th • New Years - January 1st & 2nd

If your child’s lesson happens to coincide with one of these days there will be no charge for that missed lesson due to the public holiday.


PLASTIC SWIPE CARDS

Each child will be issued with a plastic swipe card. These cards are valid for use whilst children are enrolled and payment has been received for their lessons. The swipe cards will be required to enter the pool facility for your swimming lessons. Wrist Bands can also be purchased. Please swipe the card upon entry to the pool facility where directed, you will be issued with a blue card which you are to hand to your swimming instructor prior to your lesson.

There will be a charge incurred if you lose or need a replacement swipe card or wrist band.


REQUIRED SWIMWEAR FOR LESSONS

Fitting one piece togs (no bikinis, rash vests or board shorts) Goggles, swim cap

Fitting swim briefs or shorts (nylon rugby shorts are suitable) Goggles, swim cap

Children swimming in rash shirts and board shorts are disadvantaged due to the drag that is created in the water by wearing them. This swimwear is great for the beach and to protect children from the sun but makes learning to swim difficult. You can purchase appropriate swimwear and aquatics equipment to assist your child’s swimming at our on-site shop, located in each of our facilities.

The Fulton Swim School shop offers a wide range of swimwear for both boys and girls. Methods of payment for products supplied by Fulton Swim School are cash, eftpos, or visa.Fulton Swim School Limited bank details: BNZ 02 0404 0251607 000.


PARENTAL SUPERVISION

Safety of children/swimmers at Fulton Swim School is of primary concern. To reduce the risk of accidents, safety measures are in place at the Fulton Swim School facility. However, it is the parent’s or caregiver’s responsibility to ensure the children’s safety at all times while on Fulton Swim School’s premises.


CCTV/PHOTOGRAPHY

CCTV is now in place at all Fulton Swim School. We reserve the right to monitor the safety of our swim school, teachers and participants.Fulton Swim School may take photos of the lessons from time to time. In order to assess lessons, teachers or for advertisement.


MISSED LESSONS

Lessons will not be re-allocated if there is failure to attend or a late arrival to a lesson.Fulton Swim School needs to be notified prior to lessons if a child is ill or cannot attend.Subject to availabilitly, Fulton Swim School can offer ONE Make Up Lesson per participant per term (not transferable from term to term or other students) for unforeseeable reasons such as injuries/ illness.We offer this Make Up Lesson as an act of good will/ customer service. It is not a given right to get one.Refunds are not provided.


GROUP BOOKINGS

For all group bookings, Fulton Swim School is to be advised at least two weeks prior to commencement of lessons if the number of children attending has been reduced from the original booking. If no notice has been provided as set out above, then full payment for the number of children originally booked will still be required. This term and condition applies to all group bookings whether the booking is for one lesson or a series of lessons over a term.


PRIVACY POLICY

Fulton Swim School reserves the right to collect personal information from you for the purposes of enrolment. This information will be used to assist us in providing swim school services and for any other purpose you may authorise. Fulton Swim School undertakes to maintain your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993 and any subsequent amendments or variations thereof.

If for any reason you are unhappy with our services, please let us know and we will endeavor to fix it.
